    Happy Christmas!

Oh alright, I'll make a Christmas morning post ^_^

It's been foreeeeeeever but hey, better late than never, eh? Anywho, happy holidays all around for anyone who stumbles here! Kwanza, Christmas, Channuka (man, I cannot spell) or whatever you fancy, good tidings to you!

Wasn't so busy at the store today, despite it being Christmas Eve. I mostly wrapped presents (my presents) in the back. Mom's feeling quite ick so I went out for lunch with Liz and her mom then went back to work for 2 more hours. I came home and totally vegged, cleaning the kitchen on a whim, playing some NHL 06, watching Forrest Gump.

Man, Forrest Gump...I love that movie! He's so silly ^_^ There are so many great, great quotes from that film that I simply cannot put them all here! I really must get the DVD.

Oh, and I watched Underworld again today too. Damn, is that movie awesome or what? Don't know much about the story's origins, but the mythos presented in the movie itself were extremely intriguing. I always find myself thinking and wondering about the Lycans' and Vampires' pasts and such, imagining the action and intrigue of centuries past. But what always gets me going about that movie is the total LACK of female werewolves! Girls can be werewolves too! Better ones! Personally, if I HAD TO choose, I'd be a werewolf. Vampires have all the cool (not to mention battle-handy) powers but I couldn't stand not being able to be out in the sun. You don't see many Asiatic/Pacific vamps in movies, now do ya? Nah, we love the sunshine too damn much ^_^ Besides, we eat enough blood as it is ("More pork blood stew with rice, anyone?")

Lycanthropy has it's upsides as well. From most of the literature I've read (okay, so they're almost all fiction novels, so what!) non-transformed werewolves still keep a few abilities with them during the rest of the month. In one book (which I will find the title too!) the private investigator/assassin guy was a human...er, were-human lie detector, using his VERY acute sense of smell to tell (by simple deduction) what a person's true feelings are. Crazy! Lycan's probably have some mad durability and endurance too, I'd love that!

Back to Underworld though: Since watching it again, I've began to wonder what's going to happen to Kate Beckinsale's character, Selene? I mean, she turned Michael at the end into the kick-ass freaky/cool Lycan-pire thinger. But remember, she *drank* his blood, so does that mean something's going to be up with her in Underworld: Evolution??

    Owww headache....

Guys, I do NOT get headaches often (or at all!) and I usually fake ones to get out of stuff...

But I really do have one now!! *CRY*

Anywho, I thought up something kinda cool at work today, maybe it'll end up going in that book me and Liz want to write!

Freak accident sends girl into parallel universe which is completely exactly the same...except that her best friend isn't anymore!

She tries to find a way back as discreetly as possible but is unsuccessful. After accepting that she cannot return "home", how will she deal with her new old life? Is it really Fate that draws her and her friend together, no matter what the circumstances?

Oww my head *cry* I can't work like this

    Wacked out Sun...

Sheesh the sun barely went down at around 1:30 this morning and it's been up again for like almost 2 hours (it's 4:30 am now)

And just think...the shortest night is yet to come!

    BUYING CREDITS

I can't believe I'm going to buy credits!

I think I'm heading to the Post Office today to check out how to do a money order.

$50.00 at least is what it'll cost me...

And that's only a CD or two, I think I can live :D:D:D

Marvi's getting them, obviously, but if everything goes well, I'll wire Vickie a few too!

    Oh yea! And about today...

Sheesh there I went going an entire entry about Nintendo (not that it wasn't well deserved!!) and I TOTALLY forgot to talk about today!

(Mind you, I'm tired. This may be considerably shorter!)

    ...

    Gah, I'll do it tomorrow!

    Good night.

All hail Satoru Iwata, Emperor of Dreams!

(Was the title a bit much??)

Okay, so I've been hearing and reading buzzes of Nintendo bringing out something to reviving Old School N64, SNES, and even NES games into the fantastical Next-Gen console wars. And here's a excerpt from July 2005 edition of Nintendo Power's article that further makes me realize that me caring so much about this confirms my addiction:

"Second, the Revolution will be more than simply backward-compatible with GCN discs; the device will be a "virtual console" that can download many forms of content. Iwata says that not only means new levels and characters for retail titles, but also can extend to games originally created for the Nintendo 64, Super NES, and even the NES. (Nintendo-retro fans, commence blogging.)" -Steven G., Nintendo Power, July 2005

    I'm a Nintendo-retro fan. And here I blog.

Love. Games. What else can a girl want? ... I don't think I can stand to wait anymore!! I've heard nothing about a release date but then again this IS Satoru Iwata and he's particularly great at leaving us hanging. It's always worth it in the end, though, ALWAYS.

One more thing, if you haven't seen the shots of the upcoming Game Boy Micro, get to it! Google it, Spider it, whatever the heck you want, find these pictures! SACRE BLEU!! Without sacrificing capability or screen size (which is not only the same size, but BETTER in quality, if you think it impossible), Reggie Fils-Aime (Designer guy!) superstylized the GBM, somehow upstarting the GB SP's sleekness with the Micro's sheer...sexiness! I mean seriously, guys: Reggie ingeniously followed Apple's trend of taking a product and making it smaller and sexier and look at the sales!! I haven't even THOUGHT about buying a bigger iPod (mine's a 4GB Mini-model) because I love my little sexy green iPod too much!

I *WANT* one so bad! Right after how bad I want Nintendo's Revolution and right before how bad I want the Wi-Fi capable Nintendo DS!

*shrieks with glee* YOU CAN GET FACEPLATES WITH THE MICRO!

    ~Vic, "I may own a PS2, but I'm a Nintendo Girl FOREVER!"

Can I write? I mean REALLY write

So me and Liz want to collaborate and write a book in the somewhat near future. (Maybe more than one book if all goes well!)

Reading Liz's stuff...wow, that girl can write! She's definately more that she seems, and more rounded that she seems to think of herself!

And I'm sitting here thinking...can I write? I mean REALLY write?

Poems that rhyme? Hardly need to think about it.

Poems with rhythm? You can dance to it even as I monologue it to you.

Love? From gushy confessions of love to intimate romance scenes, weaving love with words hasn't been a problem with me.

But Death? Suspense? Fear? Without finishing with one of the aforementioned topics (Rhyme, rhythm, love) and/or hope, I don't think I can do it.

Liz wrote a spectacular CSI fanfic as well as a horror-suspense beginning to a story-in-the-making. She can put that sense of scared-witless wonder into you instantly, it's just great!

And what do I have? Gushy love scenes/poems/prose, Disney-approved orphan-finds-family tales, and Finally-requited-love-saves-the-world stories.

I -have- to really try and reach down deep into my creative soul to write on these topics. Right now, my writing level right now, it's simply echoing life (as art imitates life) and I refuse to believe the only way to be able to write about Death/Suspense/Fear is to experience them!

    Ohhh but is it??

F***, I just decided to usurp everything I -JUST- said...

    DAMNIT!

That's it I'm going to bed, I shall continue this indepth discussion with myself later! Tickets are free, folks! Feel free to watch me try and beat myself in an intellectual and morally-trying mind game!
